"Gen25 Open Padel Tournament: A High-Energy Competition for Scaleups and Startups"
It's been one month since the Gen25 Open when we invited players from the Netherlands' most exciting scaleups and startups to participate in a thrilling Padel Tournament. The event was a big success with over 60 enthusiastic players and the optimal conditions for great rallies and high-quality networking.
The idea for the Gen25 Open started with the sketch of a Dutch comedian who acted like the typical Amsterdam Startup Founder using his Van Moof bike to ride to the Padel court while on the phone with one of his hipster friends. I remember us thinking, this could be a great hook for a cool event for startups and scaleups, a customer segment that is very interesting for us.
Being a scale-up ourselves, companies like Mollie, Biller, Castor and Tribes enjoy working with us, because we understand the challenges that they are facing, we've experienced those challenges ourselves, and we're often a great cultural fit. We've successfully delivered many projects by being a true extension of their teams.
We developed a program that emphasised fun and high-quality networking. We enabled the players to perform at their best with healthy snacks, drinks, and good food. Players could play on the experienced and beginner levels, and the top-2 teams played two amazing finals for the Gen25 trophies.
Big thanks to all the players for a thrilling first edition of the Gen25 Open! We've seen some amazing slices and huge smashes. But above all else, we enjoyed the happy faces and fun everyone had. See the pictures and the aftermovie below for an impression of this event.
